Sidharth Malhotra starts prepping for Vikram Batra’s biopic Sher Shah

Sidharth Malhotra has started preparing for his upcoming movie ‘Sher Shah’. The film is a biopic on Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of the Indian Army who was awarded the gallantry award Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his brave actions during the Kargil War between India and Pakistan in 1999. Sidharth took to his social media handle to announce the news. Posting a picture, Sid wrote, “#SHERSHAH TRAINING BEGINS”. In the picture, he is seen holding a rifle in his hands.

Earlier in a statement, Sidharth told how excited he is for the role of Sher Shah in the biopic. He said, “Vikram Batra’s life story will inspire you and bring a smile on your face. I am really excited to play the character and the shoot commences this year.”

Produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and Shabbir Boxwala, the biopic will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan, whereas Sandeep Srivastava has written it.

Sidharth was last seen in ‘Aiyaary’ where he played the role of Major Jai Bakshi. In ‘Sher Shah’ he is yet again playing the role of an army officer. We are sure Sidharth will get into the skin of the character well.

Talking about his another upcoming movie, ‘Jabariya Jodi’, the actor will be seen opposite Parineeti Chopra. The movie will hit the screens on July 12. Also, he will be seen in action thriller ‘Marjaavaan’ directed by Milap Zaveri.
